Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong Results of District Council Election

The District Council Election 2015 has been completed on November 22. This was the initial participation of the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA), with a total 16 members stood as candidates. As a result, 10 of them were successfully elected.

We sincerely thank for the support of citizens, and are keen to listen to their voice for further development. The BPA encourages all our candidates to keep serving the public, with greatest earnestness, at the attitude that “neither be arrogant in victory nor lose confidence in defeat”. Community service is continuously be implemented and uphold, in accordance to BPA’s idea “Business drives economy; Professionalism improves livelihood”.

The election slogan of BPA is “A stronger economy; A fairer society”. The overall platform is “To develop economy; to improve livelihood; to benefit community; for a better Hong Kong”. Through this election, the BPA has brought out these platforms and concepts among the society. The result of the election confirmed that the general public hoped for a harmony and stable environment, focus on economy and livelihood is expected, for promotion on the wellbeing of community and people. The BPA will keep contributing, to concentrate on stability and prosperity, for improved social conditions.

The campaign process was highly competitive. Being first time joining the election as an alliance, BPA has been learning a lot, and such experience is converted to be treasurable reference for further development. All candidates of the alliance have faced huge stress and paid substantial efforts, whilst BPA expressed our great regard to them.

In addition, we are deeply grateful for the supports from across the entire spectrum of the society: groups, friends and volunteers. At the future, BPA will continue to be united with the business and professionals, community friends, together with the general public, in order to build Hong Kong a better home for us all.
