The Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA) today (18 June) submitted its views to the Environment Bureau in response to a government consultation document on the “Future Fuel Mix for Electricity Generation”.
The Government has recently mooted the possibility of scaling back the Individual Visit Scheme (IVS), which has given rise to grave concerns within the business community in particular those from the retail and tourism trades.

In response to a public consultation on Future Fuel Mix for Electricity Generation that is currently underway and to address public concerns on the foregoing, the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA) today (June 9) held a seminar on “Future Energy Solutions for Hong Kong”.
According to the Financial Review of the Securities Industry for the year ended 2013 (the Review) published by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), Category C brokers (i.e. brokers ranked 66th or after by monthly turnover on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong) recorded a total net profit of $1.758 billion last year, which was 3.95 times higher than that of 2012.
In anticipation of the Dragon Boat Festival, Dr. Lo Wai-kwok, BPA Vice Chairman, today (25 May) delivered a congratulatory speech through a Dragon Boat Song, a Chinese traditional art form in narrative singing.

Since its establishment less than two years ago, the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA), has expanded its presence across Hong Kong through a network of offices that include the Hong Kong Island headquarters, the New Territories East Branch and the New Territories West Branch.
The Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA) organised a special activity to pay tribute to mothers on Mother’s Day (11 May) and made available a total of 8,000 carnations to BPA District Councilors and community officers for further distribution on the street.
