Mr Victor Li, Deputy Chairman of Cheung Kong (Holdings) (third left), was also on hand to celebrate the momentous occasion.
As a long-time friend and close acquaintance of several BPA core members, Mr Henry Tang, former Chief Secretary for Administration (right), made it a point of attending the BPA’s First Anniversary celebration.
Mr Andrew Leung said that BPA would focus on the girder (youths) and the pillar (middle-class) to implement the vision of a “Business stimulates economy and Professionalism improves livelihood” going forward.
Mr Peter Lam expressed his best wishes for Hong Kong’s future development through song by singing the local classic, Under the Lion Rock, to emphasise the importance of resolving differences for the sake of common aspirations.
Mr Jeffrey Lam delivered his birthday greetings through sign language.
Mr Abraham Shek (left) sang the classic song What a Wonderful World accompanied by Dr Lo Wai-kwok (right) on his saxophone. The performance was so well-received there were calls for encore from the audience.
Mr William So, a popular artist who performed at the Dinner, sang the praises of Mr Peter Lam, BPA Council Chairman, and of his capable leadership in guiding the BPA towards new heights.
The evening’s climax was a collective rendition of a local hit, Red Sun, by young people and guests.
