BPA 2015 Spring Reception in Beijing

The Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA) held its Spring Reception in Beijing tonight (Mar 6) to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The function was attended by around 200 guests who comprised Mr Leung Chun-ying, Chief Executive; Ms Yin Xiaojing, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Professor Chen Zuoer, President of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macau Studies; Professor Rao Geping, Member of the Hong Kong Basic Law Committee and Vice President of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macau Studies; Ms Hua Jian, Former Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council; as well as other HKSAR government officials, National People’s Congress (NPC) Deputies and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Members

BPA’s Proposals in the CPPCC Session

In this year’s Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) session, four members of Business and Professionals Alliance (BPA) for Hong Kong raised a total of six proposals. Some of them are concerned with youth development, including the promotion of social mobility among youth, establishment of a unified academic accreditation authorities, as well as facilitating the tax system and policies for Hong Kong people who work in the three Special Economic Zones (namely Hengqin, Qianhai and Nansha) in China.
