The Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA) is shocked and angered by the riot that occurred in Mongkok from the night before until the next morning (February 9). The BPA strongly condemns the acts of violence and extend its sympathies to the police officers and journalists injured in the clashes.

The Government today (December 22) published a consultation paper to solicit public views on retirement protection. The BPA, in conjunction with 14 chambers, held a Symposium on MPF Offset Mechanism today (December 10). The symposium attracted more than 300 business and academia representatives who were invited to share their thoughts on the socio-economic impacts to Hong Kong should the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) offsetting mechanism be abolished.

At a meeting today (November 24), the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA) presented over 220 proposals to the Chief Executive, Mr Leung Chun-ying, and the Financial Secretary, Mr John Tsang Chun-wah.
The District Council Election 2015 has been completed on November 22. This was the initial participation of the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA), with a total 16 members stood as candidates. As a result, 10 of them were successfully elected.
